Arches National Park
Arches National Park is a top attraction in the State of Utah. Along with the iconic delicate arch, Arches is home to a gorgeous landscape that includes contrasting colors, land forms and textures. There are over 2,000 natural stone arches and many other great formations including pinnacles, rock fins and balanced rocks. There's so much to do and see when you visit Arches.
Canyonlands National Park
Moab is unique in that it is close to two world-class National Parks. While Arches is a popular one, Canyonlands National Park is also an adventure waiting to happen. There are numerous canyons and idyllic buttes, which the Colorado River and its tributaries carved. There are four districts in the park, ensuring there is no shortage of places to explore.
Dead Horse Point State Park
There is a lot of desert landscape that surrounds Moab and Dead Horse Point State Park is a great way to explore it. In the park, you'll come across canyons, high desert woodland and many other desert phenomena. Some popular activities you can do in the park include hiking, mountain biking and stargazing. Visiting Dead Horse Point is particularly breathtaking during sunrise and sunset.
Moab Museum
There's a lot of history in and around Moab and the Moab Museum is a great place to learn it all. This cultural and natural history museum aims to share "the rich stories of the Moab area." You can visit the museum Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The museum is at 118 E. Center St. and you can reach them at 435-259-7985.
