We are delighted to have you consider staying at Sunflower Hill.


Due to concerns regarding Covid-19, there are a number of changes we've made to our facilities and operations. Things may look and feel a little different at the present time (as outlined below). 

While there's a need for social distancing, we want to be available and encourage our guests to reach out with questions, concerns, or for recommendations. It's our pleasure to serve you, and you won’t be interrupting us. We’ve spent the last 31 years building friendships and interacting with guests. We thank you for the trust and confidence you place in us. Please be assured we will be working hard to keep it. 



Check-in is anytime after 3:00 PM. In order to streamline the process and avoid having to handle credit cards, we are collecting the balance due prior to arrival using the credit card on file. We have installed a plexiglass barrier at our check-in desk, and innkeepers are required to wear face masks indoors. We will have everything ready for you when you arrive. If arriving after 10:00 PM, look for a self check-in packet at the Front Door.


Guest Rooms

Your room will be thoroughly cleaned and all hard surfaces sanitized. Whenever possible, we give each room a “rest” of one or more days between each stay, to help reduce the risk of spreading the virus.

To protect you as well as our staff, we are not providing daily housekeeping services at this time. This makes your room a personal “safe space” while at the inn. If you need fresh towels or supplies, just let us know and we will provide them. We have extra supplies located throughout the inn, and we're happy to deliver needed items to your room.



We are striving to offer the same fresh, homemade and delicious fare our guests have come to associate with Sunflower Hill. Out of necessity, we've had to adjust the presentation. A daily menu will be supplied for you to select various breakfast items as well as the desired time for delivery in the morning (generally between 7:00 and 9:00 AM). Simply select your preferences and leave the menu for us. At the selected time, we'll deliver a to-go breakfast to your room and leave it on a tray or stand next to your door. A knock on your door will notify you that “Breakfast is ready!” Besides eating in your room, there are other places outside where you can dine al fresco. At this time, dining-in with other guests (as a group) is to be avoided. 



Whether it’s ice, bottled water, baggies, plasticware, cups, an extra trash bag or roll of toilet paper you’re looking for, you will find it in the Pantry (the DIY center) located in each house. We have pre-bagged ice in the freezer for your convenience. We offer the use of a washer and dryer (free) in each building, as we always have. 


Coffee and Snacks

Our popular snacks (M&Ms, peanuts, Chex-mix) are now pre-packaged and located in each house. A hot water kettle, assorted teas, and k-cups for coffee are readily available. 


Pool and Outside Areas

We are happy to say that the pool and outdoor hot tub are available for your enjoyment. There are numerous outdoor spaces for you to read, unwind, or enjoy a meal picked up from a local restaurant, etc. We encourage social distancing in all common spaces at this time.
